Performance Features
This car runs on a hybrid powertrain that uses an electric motor and a 2.0-liter GDI Atkinson Cycle engine with four-cylinders. Total system horsepower is 192, which is an amount that's more than enough for a car of this size. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, and it comes with SHIFTRONIC, a program that allows you to take control over shifting whenever you'd like to.
Thanks to these efficient components, the Sonata Hybrid can achieve up to 54 miles per gallon on the highway. City mileage can be as high as 50 miles per gallon. This is a major reason why so many Middleton, ID drivers have decided to go with this model.
Safety Features
Safety systems in the automotive industry have come a long way in recent years. Hyundai is one of the companies that has pushed the limits of what's possible, and it's shown its commitment to keeping its customers safe. Every Sonata Hybrid comes standard with a number of driver-assist technologies that are always ready to take action.
Forward collision-avoidance assist comes with pedestrian detection so that the car can prevent a few different scenarios from becoming problematic situations. Lane keeping assist and lane following assist help you stay centered in your lane. Smart cruise control allows the Sonata Hybrid to slow down if the leading vehicle has reduced its speed. Other standard features are safe exit warning, driver attention warning, automatic high beams, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist. It was very generous of Hyundai to include all these systems on even its entry-level Sonata Hybrid trim. You can have a lot of peace of mind knowing that your car will be working to protect you and your passengers as you drive around Parma, ID.
Interior Features
We offer three trims of the Sonata Hybrid, and two of them have premium cloth seating surfaces. The other one, which is the Limited, has leather seats, so it definitely feels more upscale. The Limited also has heated and ventilated front seats, a memory system that works with the driver's seat and side mirrors, a heated steering wheel and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink®. HomeLink® allows the mirror to act as a garage door opener or to communicate with security systems. The Limited's ambient lighting is customizable, giving you the opportunity to set the right mood in your cabin.
The first two trims are the Blue and the SEL. They're nicely equipped as well. For instance, the SEL has heated front seats and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with power lumbar support. It has wireless charging, too, which is something that many of our customers in the Star area are looking for this year. The SEL, as well as the Limited, have Hyundai Digital Key. This program lets you set up your smartphone so that it can be used as a digital key fob.
The technology that's standard on the Sonata Hybrid, even on the Blue trim, is another factor that makes this car attractive. The standard infotainment package includes Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, Bluetooth®, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio and an 8-inch color touchscreen. The SEL and Limited get upgraded with 12-speaker Bose® sound systems, and the Limited has been further enhanced with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and navigation.
