Interior
The new Elantra provides a well-crafted interior with plenty of sporty elements. The dashboard is highlighted in chrome trim and features a grab handle. It is a four-door sedan that features a seating capacity of five people. Each seat is well-padded to meet the quality standards of a premium vehicle. Also, taller occupants can find comfort in each row due to the ample legroom and headroom. Cloth upholstery and manual-adjustable front seats come as standard. Leather upholstery and the power-adjustable driver's seat are optional. Behind the rear seats, you will get ample cargo room for Middleton, ID groceries, and it can fit even more when you fold the rear seats down.
The interior also features either an 8-inch or 10-inch touchscreen, depending on the trim level you choose. The upper-level trims get the larger touchscreen. Each center display mentioned above is compatible with Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth® connection, HD Radio™ and Android Auto™. If you want the navigation system, you can choose a trim with a larger touchscreen. For more convenience, Caldwell shoppers have the option of a wireless charging pad. The tech is designed to charge your phone without plugging it in. Instead, it uses magnetic inductions to conduct energy from the charger to the battery. Remote keyless entry, sunroof and dual-zone automatic climate control are optional.
Driver-Assistance Features
We could all use a little help staying safe in Parma, ID, and the new Hyundai Elantra's long list of standard safety features can help. Blind-spot collision-avoidance assist represents one of these features. Not only does it alert you if it senses a vehicle in your blind spot, but it can also apply the brakes to avoid or minimize an accident. You'll also find sensors that monitor the driver and alert you if it detects driver fatigue.
Forward-collision mitigation with pedestrian detection also serves as a standard safety feature found on all Elantra models. It scans for potential collisions and can hit the brakes in certain situations. Rounding out the list of standard driver aids, rear cross-traffic avoidance and lane-keeping assist provide additional assistance. If you choose the Elantra Limited, you also get rear-automatic braking to add a layer of safety to your Star commutes.
